Webkinz Desktop App Is Available Now!by webkinzworld Back in March we announced the development of our browser-free, full-screen Desktop App for Windows. Well, the wait is over and the application is ready to download today! Click here to get Webkinz Desktop App for Windows. {Please visit Webkinz Newz for link} Once the download completes, run the installer and you’ll get the new app with an icon on your desktop. Our app automatically updates itself, so you’ll always have the latest and greatest version – no more downloads needed!  Again, this version is for Windows computers only, but we’re happy to announce that the Mac version is going very well and we expect it to be in release state much sooner than first planned! Stay tuned. Also, as a reminder, this application does require the Flash player to remain on your computer, but if you’re playing Webkinz on your PC now, you already have Flash and nothing needs to change. Finally we’d like to put out a special thanks to all of the Webkinz players who helped us beta test our Desktop App. With your input we’ve created the best, most secure way to play Webkinz ever! This looks and works great, but it is full screen, so no swapping between Webkinz and facebook ect

Use windows key on keyboard or alt + tab ....to toggle between windows!

I don't like that we can't have more than one window open. This worries me that people will not like that part of it and become frustrated.
I don't like anything that takes up my entire computer screen.
Multiple windows are the thing that keeps the fests going as well as they have. How are we going to enter the free codes, now?

you can switch between the 2, just read my earlier post. I copy code, switch to app, hit Window Key to get back to code, copy..........ect I usually move my WW screen to the right and type in codes from the left side of my screen. Ah well... I'll just be happy to have WW, however it is presented. It's going to eventually force the issue, but in the meantime you can use whichever one you want. |

So those of us with small print troubles will love the new version. I still think I may wait until Monday when my computer expert is in the house-he he he. I took my son to the Dr. this am for his yearly checkup and the computers went down right after I walked in...my son started cracking up. I'd say it was coincidence if it didn't happen all the time to me. Good thing I don't misuse my powers....mwah ha ha! :dq: |
