Field Trip #5 – The Mysterious Temple

Hello class, and welcome to the archaeological dig site at The Mysterious Temple!
Archaeology is the study of civilizations through the recovery and analysis of cultural material. These
materials usually consist of artifacts (sounds like a certain shop owner from Kinzville that we all know!),
architecture, or cultural landscapes.
The process involves surveying, excavation and analysis of all the data collected to
learn more about the past. It developed out of the study of antiques in 19th century
Europe and eventually became a discipline practiced throughout the world!
If you want to start your own archaeological adventure, here’s a code for a Backyard Dig Site!
