The Webkinz game Hatch the Dragon is very similar to the game 2468.

The goal is to combine like pieces until you hatch the dragon.

The objective is to keep building up by combining the smaller pieces.

Two sparks = a small flame; two small flames = a medium flame; two medium flames = a large flame; two large flames = coal; two pieces of coal = green egg; two green eggs = yellow egg, etc, until the final combination, which hatches the dragon. This shows the first steps.

There are a few different strategies to playing this game.

Tips from Sally Webkinz!

* If you're playing the desktop version, use the arrow keys instead of the mouse -- much easier on the wrist!

* The small combos have small payouts. The bigger combos have exponentially higher point values -- so try to get those yellow, orange, and red eggs!

TIPS FOR WINNING

* Limit your moves to 3 directions as much as possible -- you're less likely to get trapped!

* Try to keep your highest value tile in a corner -- whichever one you prefer.

TIPS FOR POINTS

* If you don't care about winning, an easy strategy is to move in a circle -- either clockwise or counterclockwise. If you do this with the arrow keys, you can increase the speed per game, which increases your KinzCash per minute.

Tips from other Webkinz Players

*Playing on the app is typically easier and yields a better result- swipe from one direction to the next.

*Don't hit left or up unless you absolutely have to.

This guide comes directly from Sally Webkinz.

Beginning of the game. I like to work in the top left corner, so that's where I'll end up moving everything eventually.

First move was up. This combined the two sparks into the small flame. New spark appeared on the left.

I moved up. No combinations were made. New spark added to the board.

I moved up. No combinations made. New spark added.

I moved left. The two sparks combined to make a small flame, which then combined with the other small flame to make a medium flame. A new spark was added to the board.

I moved up. The two sparks became a small flame. A new spark was added to the board.

I moved up. No combinations. A new spark was added.

I moved up. No combinations. A new spark was added.

I moved up. Two sparks combined to make a small flame. A new spark was added.

I moved left. Two sparks became a small flame. A new spark was added.

Very Awesome guide! this game is very hard but strangely addictive. The corner strategy helped me a lot. After 2 days of playing every chance I got and no sign of the dragon, tonight I finally spotted him, peeking out of his shell! And got 60 KC! So the KC does get bigger the farther you go in the game.

When I was still Deluxe in January I was able to win the game on the second try.
The only reason I was able to win so quickly was because I played the 2048 game obsessively for weeks and learned the tricks.

I actually managed to get the high score when I won, which is probably the only time I've ever had the high score.
I wish I had taken a picture of the hatched dragon though!
