the fact that retired/rare things have been coming available as prizes, in the wshop, in the eStore. both instances on purpose on Ganz's part, and on accidental occasions. Oh, yes I do see. Such as some of the challenge prizes? Especially so for Deluxe members. And the replicas in the eStore, I had forgotten about that. I had never given that much thought until now! that and an accidental (I think) occasion, when the halloween wallpaper from 2006 (or early at least, not sure the exact year) was available in the wshop last year |

Yes, I've collected/hoarded food for years!
I was missing a few of the really old holiday food (from year 1 and 2), and I definitely traded away promo/priceless etc to complete the collection.
I have all of the holiday foods from the gift boxes since year 1, most collection foods (like leprechaun, ghost, winterfest, fall fest, etc), retirement cupcakes, and the rare PSI foods. I have rooms full of those beach coolers with loads of food, but I probably haven't been in there in quite awhile. I mainly use webkinz to collect things anymore since I rarely play, so I just keep the food.
I'm not sure what foods I would trade for, but the very old holiday foods are still worth a pretty penny IMO. They're very rare to come by and there are a few collectors that would want it. I know I traded a bunch of stuff for the year 1 cake, and I don't regret it. I think I have a problem with collecting things LOL.
If I don't feel like selling the food, but have no use of it in my collection, I typically send it as extras in trades. Maybe someone else will eat it, but I couldn't force myself to feed it to my pet.

I do not collect food for the most part and I know a few who have and they ended up selling it all in the end.
I suppose if we had see through fridges, I might be tempted, but currently when we have to stop by each fridge and click on the fridge to see them, it is too time consuming. I do save Christmas food,though - not a lot...just enough to fill emptyspaces when I give things away

2. Do you keep holiday food? Yes.
3. Is there any food you would trade for? nah, except maybe holiday foods that I missed or accidentally fed to my pet.
4. Favorite WW food item? Carob Chip Cookies (Chocolate Lab PSF, my first pet)
My feeling about keeping food is that there is just too much to keep, if you tried to keep everything. Maybe focus on collecting just one kind of food. Maybe only recipe foods, or only PSFs. But if you really like them, there's no harm in keeping them, except the space and the KC it takes to buy fridges.

When I started playing webkinz I had no idea that people actually collected food. It wasn't until I got into trading that I found out that some people saved food. I started playing with my kids, and they just had fun and loved webkinz. They didn't worry about what they had or didn't have. They always fed food to their pets and had a great time watching them enjoy it. When I got into trading, my kids thought I was crazy to worry about collecting so many "priceless" things. I guess once I got the last priceless item I was looking for (it was the stone elephant statue), I felt a huge letdown. I thought - well, now I've collected all the old priceless stuff I wanted - what else is there? Since then I've just traded for things I really want and I don't worry about collecting. I try to have the same attitude my kids had - just have fun!!
I do keep some foods in theme refrigerators. For example, I have Easter food in all my Easter egg fridges. I fill up fridges with wacky stuff, or Christmas stuff, but I just keep it there because it's fun to open a fridge in a Christmas kitchen and see a bunch of Christmas food. I have so many rooms at this point that I've been just leaving stuff in my dock. I really want to get rid of a ton of stuff and have rooms of all the things I really love. I'm also closing out one account because I just don't have the time for webkinz - but don't worry, I'm not leaving totally - I love it too much!!
I say sell it or have a big party feeding it to all your friends!!
Have a room party in WW and give it out as extra goodies in goody bags. Have fun with all of it!!

Is there any food you would trade for? I suppose so seeing as I still need the Bowl of Cranberries from the thanksgiving giftbox back in 2008  4. Favorite WW food item?
