I have a lot going on in Real life right now. This has me thinking about the minor things in Webkinz. Food.
In reality I have rooms full of food, that I don't have plans for. I can't put it in a room, or on a pet, it just sits there. I believe when I first starting storing items, I kept them for trading purposes. In reality though, in the rare times I do trade I am not going to go through all of that food, list it, then work out a trade for something I don't think people want.
Currently sitting in my dock are a few Halloween food items, Trick or Treat Candy, and the Halloween gift box food. My personal feelings are that I should sell them, or feed to pets. I am up in the air on what to do. I would rather put my Webkinz time into something more productive than food, then part of me wants to keep it. <l
If you have time, please tell me 1. Do you collect food? 2. Do you keep holiday food? 3.Is there any food you would trade for? 4. Favorite WW food item?

I totally understand where you are coming from. I am in the exact same boat. :scared: I have some stored, would die to have to search for it...no one really seems to want it but I can't part with the special hard-to-get items. :bones: One item that comes to mind are the Earth Day cookies. I think they floated by one year. When I see them in my dock, I refuse to feed them to my pet since I only have a couple. :rolleyes: I did sell some extras before Webinz X began and all our pets want to do now is eat. :  : |

Well, JasonAldeanMG, this is my theory. I also have food that is stored. BUT the only food I keep is the holiday foods or prize foods. I have all the retired and priceless foods going clear back to 2005. Will I ever get anyone who wants them in trade? Probably not, but I still keep them. Toothbusters, Phantom pops, the marshmallow bunnies.. all those things. I am glad I kept them. But it is an individual choice. |

I feel the same way right now. I was at one point collecting food, but I got tired of it.I still have some food, (mainly holiday food,kinzville academy food, some dispenser foods). I want to get rid of them, but just can't bring myself to do it (not sure if that makes sense lol). And I do store some common food, in case they suddenly retire or something (yeah idk guess I think they could be valuable one day.) But I know hardly anyone these days that collects food. And very, very rarely come across food collectors in trading.

Here's my thought on the demand of food. If two things are a constant -- (1) that the ones who answer "No" do not collect Food, and (2) the ones who answer "Yes" do collect it (and already have it), especially the Holiday foods -- then the demand for Food is nil, unless you started late. So this all really depends upon if you started late in the collecting phase or not. This just my opinion, of course.  |

I am having a hard time grasping your problem, but I think I have got it. You keep foods even though they are no value to you, and you do not think they are of value to others, but you cannot sell it? I have the same problem, if I am correct. I have numerous storage rooms with event foods for no particular reason other than I feel they have some sort of importance.
Webkinz has taught us to hold onto items in case they become rare someday, which is why I think we all have such strange hoarding issues.

When I did that account Giveaway, I had one Food, the only food I kept for very long, worth 60K. Figured someone would like it for their collection. So when I tried to give it away, it went last, and then by chance that they knew someone who did collect Food. It got me thinking that if a high value Food such as that was not wanted, what was? It was -- FOOD -- for thought for me. LOL

Oh, yes I do see. Such as some of the challenge prizes? Especially so for Deluxe members. And the replicas in the eStore, I had forgotten about that. I had never given that much thought until now! |
