Getting Started:
How do I schedule a party?
First you purchase a party pack from the w-shop in the Party packs section. There are different types of parties to choose from. Then you take it to your room and open it. The directions guide you through setting it up (Note: house parties will be in the room you open the party box in)
Can I use a coupon? Yes
How do I get to the party? Go to a room in your house. You can turn your phone on to the proper zone, but mine has been turning on, on it's own. A countdown will start in the top right corner a few minutes before the party time. When it says go to party you click on it.
How many people can I invite? You can invite up to 8 people. You have to invite at least one. Some of the games require 3 people.
What happens with the extra items I put in the loot bag if not everyone shows? They are supposed to go back into your dock. Mine have
Invitations:
How do my friends get the invitations? They are sent via kinzpost. Your friend has the option to accept or decline. If they decline a space opens up for your party.
I chose the option that friends can request an invitation. How does that work?
First your mypage has to be visible to friends. Go under preferences to do this. I have mine visible to everyone.
Then, you have to have a shoutbox for the announcement to show
You will see a guestlist with checks for people who have accepted the invitation.
If there are less than 8 people on the list when other people view your mypage they will see a message that says "Can I come?" If they click on that they can request an invite.
What is a shout-box?
Go to design and choose template.
Graphical has 2 shoutboxes or you can design your own. My shoutbox kept going hidden with the graphical template so I use the design your own (my template).
To design your mypage choose customize
Then drag the megaphone (shoutbox) to the desired position
This is what it looks like with no party announcement
Once you have the shoutbox your announcement will show. It will correct for your time zone, but the scheduling and announcements are in kt (it corrects for the people who view it in their time zone)
How do my friends get to my mypage?
To view someone's mypage they have to be on your phone. Then go to your mypage home and drag their name into the bff box. Close that window and then click on their name and it will take you to their mypage.
Or
You just open you phone, click on the smiley face next to their name and it brings up a preview box of their info. Click on the View My Page (for them) and if their widget is there you will see the announcement
Do I need deluxe to go to a kinzchat + party? No, but you need kinzchat + turned on. You need deluxe to schedule a kinzchat + party
How do I get an invitation? Your friend's may send you an invitation or you can request one.n.
What happens if I'm invited to 2 parties scheduled for the same time?
A pop-up comes up when you try to accept. You have the option to delete the first acceptance and accept the new one or not.
During party:
How do I go to the games? There is a countdown to the games. When it says go to game you click on it.
How do I get the lootbag? Lootbags are distributed about 5 minutes until the end of the party. There is a countdown and then it will say get loot and you click on it. You open the bag in your room.
If I add extra goodies will my friends still get the same amount of regular loot? Yes, they will get 4 items
Do you win a superjar of jellybeans in the jellybean challenge game? Yes. The jar holds much less (around 500) and you get 5 guesses There are different seasonal jars.
Trouble shooting:
I am trying to schedule a party, but no times are available
The regular kinzchat parties fill very quickly. They open a new day at midnight kinztime, so if you are up that late or early in the morning you have a better chance of finding an opening.
If you have deluxe you have the option to upgrade to kinzchat + and there are many more openings.
I scheduled the party for one time, but my mypage shout-box says a different time? The mypage announcement adjusts to the time on your computer so will be in the viewer’s time zone. The scheduling and announcement are in kinztime.
My screen stays blue/won’t load. What do I do?
1)before you try to log in to ww clear all cookies your cache and history.
2) after clearing close browser ... closing the browser finishes the job do not have any tabs or windows open ,then open it again.
3)log in to ww
4) if that fails try a different browser I use firefox
5)People have had success clearing cache and rebooting before logging in again
