Hello, here I am awake at 1 a.m. finals week trying to find a pet name for my B&W Cat. Classic me. (:
I've been trying to find a name for this pet for ages! I know a few things but I'm still not so sure. I like people names, people names are cool with me. My cat will be female.
Since the PSI is makeshift, this will sound weird, but I kind of wanted an artistic name. And then I thought up Dior. And I was like ... Dior is so posh, my cat will not be posh ... and then I thought up a story for my cat. My cat will not conform to the name in which she is given! She will be patchwork and fun regardless of her exquisite title.
I get really into this stuff, I like my names to be perfect for the pet, I honestly put more thought into it than necessary.
Anyways, then I remembered a book I read, Tender at the Bone. The author is named Ruth, and she is basically the epitome of my cat. Ruth is a lovely name, but so simple. I actually love it, but something turns me off about it. So then I thought, combine the two. Ruth Dior. Does that sound awful? I'm just not sure. I am just indecisive, and I'd like new ideas!
Thank you guys for all your help!

Ruth is a lovely name, I have a friend at work named Ruth. If you want to fancy it up a bit, what if you added another name to the end? Like maybe Ruthanne or Ruthlynne ? Just a thought
Dior is definitely a posh name, but in my opinion it doesn't quite go with Ruth, lol :innocent:

Ruth is, again, very simple and plain and boring to me. For some reason Ruth Dior is the only thing I'm going back to. It's so contrasting and different. Like.. Be quirky, cool with me. But then it sounds like a cacophony and I don't really want to deal with that and then dislike my pet or something. Ah! Very frustrating. Thank you for contributing, sweetie.

Another name in Tender at the Bone was Pat, which I assume is short for Patricia. Pat was a very interesting character, I liked her a lot. So I thought, Patricia Ruth. But that sounds odd still, and it also reminds me of a girl I dislike, and Pat in the book probably hated her real name and I would not want to mock that and use her real name.
Edit: Contemplating Ruth Marguerite or Ruth Evangeline .

You're welcome You sound like me, lol ... I never want to just "settle" for a name for the sake of getting the pet adopted. The name has to fit the pet and be "perfect" (perfect in my eyes) I'll be excited to see what you name her :vhappy:
