Here is a guide to the new feature ZUMBUDDIES By Arbor Grace
You enter the code of your new Zumbuddy in the code shop – not the adoption shop
Your Zumbuddy already comes with a name, so you do not have to think of a name for him/her.
After you enter your code, go to the Magical Forest where you will now be able to access the Zumbuddy section of Zumwhere. Click on “VISIT ZUMS”.
Upon entering, you are greeted with information as to what to do with your Zum. There is a bar at the bottom that says, “Let’s have Zum fun” (try saying that 3 times fast..LOL)
You are then taken to your Zum’s home which is 1 room. You will notice a 0% at the lower right of the room. This is an indicator of how much furniture you have in the room. You cannot fill the room up too much as your Zum will need room to move around.
You will notice you have a ZUM dock at the left hand side of the screen, not the bottom of the screen as in WW.
If you click on the “I” at the top, you will be given instructions on how to care for your Zum.
You can check your ZUM’s happiness level by taking the magnifying glass and holding ot over them. They all start out at 50% happy level.
NOTE:
You can also take your Zum Buddy to Webkinz World. When you enter your room or the clubhouse click on the Zum Picture next to dress and choose your Zum Buddy to "link up" to your Pet.

That's MY introduction to ZUMWHERE. I hope this has been helpful!
Just remember, as the old song goes..... "You're nobody till Zumbody loves you"

These tips are prior to Ganz making changes in how to earn zummies.
HERE ARE SOME MORE MORE TIPS FROM SPARROW:
OK, New observations: Here is what happened during about 45 minutes of game play with 3 zummies:
Using Glams technique of moving from room to room to reload the giggle capability, I was able to have parties about every couple of minutes. Here are the point observations I made:
If my zum asks for a food and I offer it, I get 1-2 points to his happy score. Toys seem worth 5-7 points if they like it or ask for it.
If they do not ask for the food or toy, I may either get nothing or he will remove about 5 points if he dislikes it. Seems better not to offer anything that is not asked for.
If zums decide to share their toy by playing together i will get points for both zums.
(note: interaction between zums is out of my control. I cannot move them where I want them to go, they flit about randomly. If they happen to be close together odds are they will play together if I give one a toy).
Clicking on them to make giggles is worth anywhere from 3-9 points each click! This is by far the most time effective method, as playing with toys takes up about 10-20 seconds of repeated animation before you get results. You get 4 clicks in a row before they tire of this and take away points out of annoyance. So, per Glams method, you need to go to another zum room then go back and make them giggle 4 more times. Using this method I can have parties about once every 2 minutes or less, so why bother with feeding or playing with them?
After a party is over, the happy level goes down to the 60's or 70's, so it only takes me 2 rounds of giggles to top them off for another party.
Here are my results over many rounds:
You have four colored zums to fill (just as in zumwhere). I started this observation with 27 blue, 35 dark pink, 28 yellow, 29 light pink (i will just mention numbers from her on...)
After 5 parties my zum count was 27,36,37,29 (addition of 10 zum)
After 4 more parties my zum count became 27,36,46,30 (10 zum)
The next round took only 3 parties: 35,38,46,30 (10 zum seems the norm)
So, the short of it is: Stop buying food and toys and make sure you have at least 2 buddies. I see no reason to adopt more, but 2 is important so you can change rooms to reload the giggles.
This is still a very dull game, but at least prizes seem within reach if you have the will to do this over and over and over.
I totally agree with sparrow its much easier to click"tickle" them than spending oodles on the food and toys but....if you have more than one they are so cute playing together! Getting them to play together is easy too just make sure the toy is for 2 zums! I double checked and these are the ones you can use for a 2 zum game~

Big Changes in Zumwhere!
November 6th, 2009
Since we launched our new “Visit Zums” feature within Zumwhere, we’ve been watching the feature closely. Based on your feedback and our observations, we have made some significant changes to how Visit Zums works. These changes are designed to make this feature more fun and to get more Zummies into the hands of those who take care of their Zums!
The changes include:
- Zums will now ask for toys and food more often.
- Zums will award Zummies far more often.
- Tickling the Zum was awarding far too much happiness. This is now fixed. Feeding and giving toys are now the best ways to make your Zums happy.
- Happiness awards are not set in stone. If your Zum is unhappy, it will be easier to make them happy. If they are very happy, it will be more difficult to make them even happier.
- All parties are guaranteed to award Zummies, even if you only have one Zum!
We hope that you enjoy these new changes. Visit Zums is unlocked with the Feature Code included with our new Zumbuddy plush toys. Look for them at your local Webkinz retailer today
