Lily Padz Tutorial
Object:
To get across the Lily Pads and Rocks to reach the other side of the pond.
Your goal is to complete all 5 levels, while catching flies to earn you more points.
You lose a life if you run out of time or fall into the water.
You have 3 lives to complete the game.
The Basics:
Navigate using the right arrow ">" to jump to the next lily pad or rock. You'll need to use the space bar to jump further with power meter.
You can "aim" your power meter as you hold the space bar, by moving the left / right arrow keys.
Press the "up" arrow to have your frog jump up to eat the bugs.
Eating a fly or dragonfly will add time to your time/life meter.
DO NOT eat the bees, they sting! lol! They'll take from your time/life meter.
If you hit any of the bugs, including the bee, when you jump, you'll get a bonus +25 points.
^^^If you jump onto a Lily Pad, remember that they will eventually disappear.
You have only a short amount of time to move from a lily pad onto the next lily pad or rock, or make your next jump.
If you are on a rock, you won’t sink and die, so you can take your time. Just watch the time meter!
Helpful Tips:
*One of the most important tricks for the whole game: THE POWER METER CAN BE MOVED! The power will determine how far your pet will jump (will turn red as you hold it).
The power meter is used to plummet your frog forward, but it took me a while to discover that it can also be moved up and down using the ARROW KEYS.
This will control how high or low your frog will go. This is especially important while getting over flowers.
*Practice, practice, PRACTICE!
This isn't a game that takes much luck, so practice is required!
But once you get the hang of this game, you're set! Get to learn the controls and find a technique.
*Play on the same computer each time. This game runs differently depending on the speed of your computer, so consistency is important!
Statistics:
•4 to 8 minutes per completed game depending on how long you wait around to catch bugs, how much you have been practicing, and how many lives used.
•60 to 80 KC depending on how many bugs caught and how many lives used.
The more lives used the more bugs you will most likely catch. The more bugs you catch, the more KC you will get.
•1 KC for every 50 points… Very good compared to other games in WKW
