This was entry for the Companion pet, years ago! I've always prayed they'd make this sweetie!!

This was on the kids bucket list, to go see the puffins in Elliston, Newfoundland when we went back home!

There is actually a Puffin Patrol in Newfoundland that helps to save the little ones as they leave their burrow.
The babies are called Pufflings. How adorable!! :love:

They use the moon and stars to guide them to the ocean but often they are drawn to the lights in the towns and they get stranded and lost.
They have people who help gather them and get them back to the ocean and release them there, during the day.
