i've been working on a room for the september ROTM contest, and if i'm being honest... it's really one of the first times i've tried designing a room from scratch since playing again. all the rooms in my house are leftover from childhood, and since i don't remember much about making them, i guess i've let executive dysfunction take over? i love collecting items, and my favorite thing about classic is that there's almost always an event going on with a special prize pool, but i haven't truly used any of the items!!!
but the ROTM is encouraging me, and i'm becoming excited about building rooms in the future. i thought it'd be nice to create a draft thread, where we can all share our ideas for rooms we want to make or that are works in progress. i feel like if i hear how others go about designing rooms, it'll give me some good ideas too hehe
to start with, i've personally been going through each of my rooms and sorting them. i'm trying to group together the bedrooms, then special/event/themed rooms, i put all my gardens together... etc etc
but i think my first plan is to try and redesign this room for my ribbon unicorn angel:
angel has been my main webkinz, i play as her 99% of the time, and her skills are the ones i'm working on at the academy. i realized it'd be cute to have her room with my ribbon lion though, so that's the plan here. this room i believe is the fantasy theme? nothing special. it was already there when i started playing again, and i haven't really touched it besides dropping those book guides to reference lol
the hope is, the next time you see this room it'll be transformed though!
how do you guys go about designing rooms for pets? i think my rough guidelines are going to be something like, i'd prefer the room to include the PSI if possible (i hopefully still own all my PSI's, but i havent necessarily checked yet)... it has to have a bed of course... ideally the room could showcase the webkinz's personality or aesthetic, but we'll just have to see what i can do lol
