The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
I finished this room over the weekend and thought I'd share with you all. I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with the Chronicle of Narnia, specifically, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe but it has always been a favorite of mine.
Since I was little, I've loved the story of The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe that was read to us by our elementary school teacher. I finally created a Narnia Room, I'd never done so before because I thought I wouldn't do it justice, however, I think it didn't turn out too badly. This scene shows Lucy and Mr. Tumnus having tea, near the lamppost that marks Narnia's entrance, near the wardrobe. The wardrobe was what led Lucy to into the magical world of Narnia with talking animals and mythical creatures.
You can see Mr. Beaver sitting, keeping an eye on everything going on in Narnia, so that he stays informed.
In the background you can see the castle of the evil White Witch, Jadis, as she rides through the woods in her sleigh pulled by the white reindeer. She always carries with her a special treat, Turkish Delight, that will entrance others into doing her bidding.
She has cast a spell over Narnia that's made winter persist for a hundred years with no end in sight.
Tumnus befriends Lucy, despite the White Witch's standing order to turn in any human he finds. He initially plans to obey the order but, after getting to like Lucy, he cannot bear to alert the Witch's forces.
He instead, escorts her back towards the safety of her own country, back through the wardrobe.

Mr. Beaver broke my heaaaart I love your room Newfie. I was able to point out each character before I even read your story! And how sweet. I don't really remember my teachers reading us stories, at least not anything as long and detailed as The Chronicles of Narnia, that seems like such a fun, fond memory. Amazing job!!
