Updatier update: Several people on newz are reporting the same glitch because the key in which you dig up in that spot I had the glitch in ended up in the undiggable spots. So no, it isn't an issue of something that failed to load for a second, it's a very bad problem as part of the design of the quest.
Might I add that under normal circumstances it's necessary to pay $10 for this at the very minimum? (7000 points rounds up to 10000, which one would need in order to purchase a chimpanzee or the quest).
