I feel like I have everything to do with this. There's too much that matches up.

Story time

I was browsing through my badges to see which ones were easily obtainable. I was under the impression, when I adopted my Pink and White Cat earlier that digs were temporary and therefore you had a limited amount of time to complete the mission. No, you can literally take your time and dig out every pot of ground, which I'd not done in any of them. This was true when they handed out the Pink Pony freebie when the Pineapple Turtle's promotion was going on too, I still thought this and missed a TON of prizes.


Fast forward weeks later I complete most of the mission, my goal is to dig up every spot no exceptions, so I can get the badge and clear the mission. So I go at it, then I come to a snag. There's a section, part 4 of the quest where you're told to go into a sea path and there's a rock in the middle of the room. So I go outside in, clearing every pile until for some reason two piles, right next to the rock are unable to be dug up. I log out and in over several days, completing all the other parts of the quest and come back. These piles don't budge. So I sent to customer support that I can't complete the quest 100%. They automatically clear the quest for me, which I'm then angry for, because I wasn't simply trying to finish the quest, I wanted to get the badge in that mission, which was impossible. They sent me another one for free, I go through the process again and then with detailed screenshots, explain exactly the issue is that two spots sitting RIGHT NEXT TO THIS ROCK were unable to be dug up. I presume it was 'collision' on the rock preventing me from so much as touching these spots because I would click them even without the shovel indicator and they wouldn't go (this I found out during trying that quest)

They then ask for access to my account, which I give. I then pester them with a few weeks break between each email I sent, getting the same response back each time 'we're still looking into it' which I sort of gave up doing after a while. During which, I'd be waiting for floaties or trying to go into the trade room and I'd suspiciously get logged off, and progress had been made with the quest as I peeked (I did nothing to further it, I just went to the area to see if they'd dug enough and they did), and then after a while it sat doing nothing for months, sometimes getting logged off for the same times. I haven't given my password to anyone else and I'm the only one who uses this computer so it's not anything else, besides, I have some other accounts, and I only reported my main to them, and those wouldn't get logged off. Also, my money was never edited, so I presume if they were making progress it was with tools that forcibly restricted my gains because I never lost money or items.

I'd given up on them even noticing this or fixing it since it doesn't use their newer code since it's in a small window, uses the old pet animations, and that it was released in 2012 before webkinz x i presumed they'd not even got the code for it, so it was a lost cause.

as such my last email to them was in november of last year, i believe all the detail would've happened in august as that's when i adopted chimpy for the quest.

suspiciously, they hand this out now, after 9 months, in a giveaway where the end date is my birthday (and would also be my birthday on my main since i remember it has that since i get wish tokens on that day), after my seemingly endless good luck streak since the deluxe week occurred.

either they want everyone to test this out, or they fixed the problem and the quest is the reward.

I'm going to do this even though I have the badge now from a different quest (I adopted a Koala and did its quest in the background while they did the chimp's quest, I was told not to touch their doing the chimp quest but that said nothing of if I adopted another pet in between...). Of course it's that easy but I wanted to prevent a situation where someone was in my position, purchases the chimpanzee and then finds out they can't actually get the badge like I tried to do because of glitchy messes like that. I had no idea the chimpanzee's mission was broken when I selected it, I'd assumed they'd tested this, which, they did not, this game doesn't test much at all (pet requests also aren't tested... pets can ask you to work at the employment office even if you're deluxe and done both jobs for the day, or wishing well after it's done for the day.... so I have no faith in anything actually being right anymore).

I want to make a request you all check it out too if you want. I'm going to, with this free quest, dig up every spot like I tried to before, and see where that gets. The badge only activated once I'd dug every spot, so it wasn't an inability to dig, I had more than enough of the digs to proceed on those days I tried shoving the ones near the rock.

The particular room in question is one in part 4 of the quest. There's a rock in the middle of the room. If it's gone, then you know it's the small room in part 4. In there was where I had the trouble and where I'm going to try again. I really want to know if it is fixed, or if it still needs fixing, because for 9 months I'd been thinking they were not even paying attention (they might not be still idk), and to spend $10 on the quest or more on a chimpanzee for that badge only to find out it doesn't work is very.... yucky. I still like my chimp, but that's very sleazy, even if unintentionally.

thing is i didn't want to buy another one if it's broken. plus i already have a chimp and several of the waterfalls. If I was buying something else adventure park, it'd have been another pet (which I did, the Koala, please read the post). Also, I wanted to clear two things at once, I know I can buy the quests separately, read the post, I wanted to clear both at the same time, I have a personal list of pets of which I want to complete. Several of the AP pets are pets that I want. So I was clearing as many bases as I could at the same time, I know now you can buy the quests separately, but that's not what I was doing, the whole point of my quest was to get a pet, get a quest, get the badge, complete the mission. Doing everything separately cost more money.

It's extremely hard to believe with how much I pestered them that it ISN'T due to that in some way.

Of course it was always available to purchase. That's why I wanted to PREVENT it from happening again, in case anyone else wanted the badge from this mission if they picked it randomly like I did.

You have to consider all the possibilities of this sort of thing. It's not as easy as shelling out another especially when the point in the first place was that by it being next to the others it was implied it had no problems.

Right after maintenance, after 9 months, most of which were unsure if they were even touching it. Now they hand it out to everyone for free.

Obviously, it's due to that they're giving it out, but why this specific quest? Why not another one?

Did you try every spot though? I'm not talking simply completing the quest I'm talking completing it and getting the badge (the latter of which I did not have when I first got it with the chimp). When i saw they couldn't be dug, I did all the other parts of the quest, then before you're allowed to get the waterfall, I went back and tried again on those two spots before I emailed. Something tells me you're not listening, because completing the quest is possible, completing it 100% and getting every single dig spot, which is what I was doing, is impossible.

I heard it's still glitched, so test it. See if you believe me. I'm gonna email them again before I try as I'm not supposed to touch it and it's still there albeit glitched (the free one they were using for testing for the -brief- period they did. It's glitched though, objects are glowing and I can't go underwater lol and its still part 4)

isn't this their 2nd? or was there something before the pink pony one?

the process was over multiple days. i did log back in and out, i even told them this too, the issue has nothing to do with something that failed to load in the code for a second like the clubhouse does, the spots are directly behind an object in the room, my suspicion is because they're behind it, they can't be clicked because the 'collision' of the rock in front overrides the dig spot code. I even told them that I suspected this was the case as well.

Seriously, if you want to believe me, spend as many days as you need and dig up every last spot even if you get the item in the quest necessary to proceed to the next part. I had attempted to do this to get the badge you can get for digging them all up (which is visible even if you don't own it in the my badges in things to do). Completing the quest, is possible, completing it 100% to get the badge is impossible unless the glitch is patched.

Yes in February of 2012 there was a Valentine’s Quest that was given to players. Also in 2012 the Lorax Quest was available to players.
I believe this is the 4th.
