What's the "big stampede"? Its the Calgary Stampede and it occurs every July for 10 days. There are free Stampede breakfasts every day, in multiple areas of the city, usually pancakes and sausage, but it does vary from place to place. Some places go all out. Sometimes they do lunches and or dinners around the city too. Its very cool. Its like one big party for 10 days, its a huge celebration, in which, most people partake in some way. We didn't go into the City, to attend, this year but my older boy did. The kids love it! Wiki says: "The Calgary Stampede is an annual rodeo, exhibition and festival held every July in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The ten-day event, which bills itself as "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth",[3] attracts over one million visitors per year and features one of the world's largest rodeos, a parade, midway, stage shows, concerts, agricultural competitions, chuckwagon racing and First Nations exhibitions." That sounds like a grand time! Do you enter the rodeos too? |

I love (omg! you'd love this too!) the Superdogs and the different dog shows they have! We normally watch the fireworks whenever we are able to. Its a longer drive now then when we lived there. The fireworks are a fave! |

Thank you, Wistcottage and Pawprint for your kind words!  I thought the cuckoo cat clock fit in well there; I wasn't sure where to put it in my WW home, but I tried it there and liked it. This room actually took the least amount of time of any room I've done. Usually, I agonize over all the details, but for this one, everything just seemed to come together. Winning post!!
