I remember being excited about the zumbuddies but they programmed them to be whiny and needy and it took forever to get enough zummies to get prizes.

Then they modified it so that the zumbuddies took a "nap" - they went to sleep and you can't play with them until the next day.

All of my friends got a zumbuddy before we figured this all out and pretty soon, even if we owned one, the prizes were so hard to get, we ended up trading for them instead of earning them ourselves.

Alas, I see lots of similarities to that. I hope I'm wrong and it'll be fun as the prizes are too nice to miss.
