Hi friends!
I ran across an interesting dock issue today, and I am wondering if you have dealt with it before. I should have taken screenshots so hopefully you guys will take my word as good enough!
I am doing a huge clothing overhaul in my account. Clothing is my primary collection, and has been since almost the beginning, so you can imagine that's a lot of clothes. I pulled everything from every wardrobe and pet in my account and have been methodically going through the webkinz guide to cross check what items I am missing from various years.
Anyways, I was starting to feel like I was a bit nuts because I would go through my A-Z of of clothing in my dock and notice items were missing here and there that I thought for sure I had. But tonight it really stood out to me... I was scrolling through to check on an item and noticed when I got to the c's that it only showed cheeky cherry bow and shoes. And I was SURE I have the full cheeky cherry outfit. Mind you, the dock was fully loaded and wasn't having any issues scrolling.
But then I tried switching to tops only. When I got to the C's , sure enough, there is my cheeky cherry shirt. So I switch back to a-z, and now the shirt shows up, but not the pants. Switch to pants, find the shorts, switch back, now all four pieces are populated.
I replicated this same event with my forget me not outfit... looked like several pieces were missing, thought about adding it to my wishlist, then tried looking for the items under their individual sections and sure enough... voila.
Moral of the story... if your dock is super super full, and you think you had items but don't see them... you might actually have them... just sayin.

I don't know for sure but would not be surprised if this has happened to me as well because I keep all of my clothing in my dock. I dress my pet daily and like to have all the outfit options available. But, I can recall a few times looking for a piece of clothing and not finding it, wondering if I left it on a pet (very rare), missed it, or was actively missing it. This might also explain why I miss things when updating my trading lists (as you saw, lol), because while I could very well have looked over it, I'm usually very meticulous. I was very surprised to have missed multiple pieces.
Interesting catch, MilkyWay, I'll check and see if I catch it happening in my dock too.

my dock is massive and this drives me crazy. I will search for something I thought I had, not find it and use points to get one. Only to have 2 in my dock after entering code. I have very limited points these days, so it is frustrating. I need to do a major purge. Will be selling a lot. But you must be careful when selling, they have added a automatic ban when you try to sell too much too quickly. So do not try to do a massive sale. Sends a flag to the servers. As long as you do not try that constant quick clicking to load and sell, you are fine. Have several friends who had to jump through hoops to get their accounts back

my dock is massive and this drives me crazy. I will search for something I thought I had, not find it and use points to get one. Only to have 2 in my dock after entering code. I have very limited points these days, so it is frustrating. I need to do a major purge. Will be selling a lot. But you must be careful when selling, they have added a automatic ban when you try to sell too much too quickly. So do not try to do a massive sale. Sends a flag to the servers. As long as you do not try that constant quick clicking to load and sell, you are fine. Have several friends who had to jump through hoops to get their accounts back I didn't realize this.  So, no selling all my veggies at once? Guess I'd better not save them for selling only a few times a year. |

I usually put what I have in a wardrobe to keep track of what items I have/need. You know how many duplicates we can get when opening clothing bags.  I've found that when I have more than one of the same item, when I pull them both from the wardrobe, one becomes unusable... almost like a ghost item. It doesn't allow me to put it back in the wardrobe, can't put it on my pet and can't put it in the mail. It tells me I don't own it and it becomes unfunctional. Then when I log out and back in, its not there anywhere, I lose it. So... I don't put clothing in wardrobes any longer. |

the staff says it is from clicking fast. I guess it auto fills if you do that, but it also can trigger the cash to pile up for more than it should. This will cause a red flag and instant ban. I had no idea about this! I'll usually fill it and hit the 'sell' 6-10 times. Just so that it sells faster than me putting them all in, again and again. But guess that won't be happening any longer. Yikes!! |

Milkyway, my dock is also quite full and I've noticed that it does weird things, at times. It'll go from P to the S items with nothing in between. Its almost as if it loads and is not quite finished, in that circumstance. I have had things go missing. Completely gone. It happens often with mystery clothing. I hope none of the ghost items were really really special favorites, that's awful. It's odd though, up to this overhaul I have had my entire clothing collection in wardrobes, literally hundreds of items in storage with themed rooms of shoes, dresses, mystery etc., and until I took them all out into the dock I never once in all these years remember having an issue. But I usually keep my dock pretty tidy, so I wonder, was your dock already pretty full when you were taking things out and adding to it? Trying to figure out if it all boils down to the dock just not being able to handle huge amounts of items. At least that's what I'm going to blame it on to try to comfort myself that my items aren't just going to disappear one day (eek). 😂 I have also contemplated moving some of my less loved/worn parts of my clothing collection to a small alt account, that way each has less items/code to keep filed, so to speak. I could always send them back to myself (my main acocunt) now and again and rotate a bit. Just thought of this now but almost wondering if it would be fun to have an entirely Christmas themed account... for exclusively Christmas pets, rooms, items, and of course all my Christmas clothes! |

Or wondering if simply getting my butt decorating and putting in rooms will help or if that won't matter much. |

You probably already do/know this, just sharing what works for me. I have areas just for extra fall fest, planning on making storage rooms for other categories too, different seasons, psis, little items, you could do it by themes or types of items ( a room of just beds for example). Then when decorating or trading it's still kinda easy for me to find, haha. I've never had an item in a room disappear (other than just my wifi having a hard time loading the whole room occasionally). ❤ food is kinda killing me, I like it a lot but really... I don't do anything with it and barely look at it, so I'm trying to decide if I should clear out everything I don't collect (like my cupcake collection is special to me) and just gift it away. You know, the whole Marie Kondo (spelling?) Thing... it's just pixel clutter hehe. |

A lot of people keep their food collections in fridges in the same room. For the special stuff, I'll place something beside the fridge (or in front of it) so that I have an idea of what's there. For example, your cupcakes... you could put one of the placeable cupcakes in front of it. Special holiday food, place a holiday item in front so you know Christmas, Halloween, fest foods, etc. Then its not just in your dock.  |

I've experienced weird dock issues too. Most recently, when completing the pumpkin pie collection challenge. Usually when I finish the challenge and win the car, it shows as a new item in my dock right away. But with one account yesterday, it did not, and I couldn't find it. I have not tried logging back in again since to see if I actually have it, hopefully I do.... UPDATE: I went back to my dock and there is no car there. Has anyone had success with Ganz in getting something like this corrected? I finished the collection yesterday and started a new round. Do they have any way to tell that I completed it once?  |
